Exceptional Speeches From Two Industry Leaders

Attendees will have the chance to learn from some of the industry's most influential leaders throughout the event. ISE 2019 will be bookended by an opening address and a closing keynote from two world-class speakers: Ambarish Mitra and Tupac Martir.

On the first day of the conference, Ambarish Mitra, co-founder and CEO of augmented reality company Blippar, will present the opening address and discuss the impact of augmented reality and AI on the industry.

“Augmented reality is a horizontal disruptor and will have a positive impact on every industry. What we are seeing today is just a glimpse of the potential of this technology. Blippar is at the forefront of this, and I look forward to sharing my vision with ISE attendees,” says Mitra.

As a serial entrepreneur, Mitra has received global acclaim for his pioneering work in the augmented reality field. In 2016, he was named the Ernst & Young UK Entrepreneur of the Year and was also appointed an ambassador for the GREAT Britain campaign, which promotes British innovation worldwide.

In 2017, the World Economic Forum named him a Young Global Leader. Mitra has continued to push the boundaries of AR with his current company Blippar, helping thousands of brands to improve the customer journey and increase sales.

Tupac Martir, the founder of Satore Studio, will bring the conference to a close on Friday with a keynote speech that will explain how his company uses technology to create unforgettable live events.

His London-based design and production studio has produced live events for some of the world's most iconic brands and performers, including BMW, Ralph Lauren, Elton John and Beyoncé. Vogue has described Martir as “the visual artist and creative director behind some of the most important events in the world.”

Free Presentations on the ISE 2019 Main Stage

New for the 2019 conference is the main stage, a custom-designed stage centrally located in Hall Eight. It will host educational presentations from AVIXA, CEDIA, ISE and AV Magazine from Tuesday through Friday. These free talks offer something for everyone.

AVIXA will run a number of sessions that will use shortlisted entries from the AV Awards 2018 to demonstrate how the latest integrated experiences are designed, created and installed across a number of markets.

CEDIA is partnering with tech integrators who won a 2018 EMEA CEDIA Award to discuss their award-winning projects in a series of 20-minute sessions. Each award winner will discuss the challenges they faced and the steps they took to overcome them.

AV Magazine's editorial team, led by editor Clive Couldwell, will be hosting neutral panel debates, presentations, case studies and Q&As covering issues crucial to the success of AV vendors, products and businesses.

Smart Building Conference Chair Bob Snyder will be curating presentations and discussions with leading industry figures. Some of the key industry issues and trends will be discussed during the ISE main stage sessions.

Workshops and Professional Development Programs

As well as free main stage events and a packed conference lineup, ISE 2019 is also home to an assortment of workshops and professional development programs run by CEDIA and AVIXA.

CEDIA will present a full program of professional development sessions and a series of talks at its stand, which will cover key issues in the residential installation market. Attendees can buy an all access pass, allowing them to visit as many sessions as they like.

“With a substantial education programme from CEDIA, complete with a brand-new Home Cinema Design Workshop, core training sessions and our popular CEDIA Talks, there will be something for everyone at the show,” CEDIA global president and CEO Tabatha O'Connor says.

Thomas Darling, CEDIA's SVP of development and education, agrees. He adds that there is something for everyone at ISE 2019. “From core technical courses and business success training to the latest insights on emerging trends, our programme will cover all the bases for delegates in attendance. ISE is the perfect destination to enhance your industry knowledge, with so much great training in one place for just one week.”

AVIXA has an extensive ISE 2019 education program, as well, which seeks to explore the latest AV design trends. In addition to their main stage events and half-day conferences, the company will also be running free, 20-minute education sessions at their stand. These will cover user experience, AV/IT, design and emerging trends.
